A Journey into Declining Kyoto’s Art and Culture:
Rediscovering Sustainable Wisdom Together

Our journey began as a sustainability consulting firm in Tokyo, advising forward-thinking companies. However, in 2018, we moved our operations to Kyoto. While Tokyo remains the centre of business in Japan, we believe Kyoto holds unique insights into sustainability—wisdom that has evolved over more than a thousand years.

Kyoto’s rich cultural legacy is a testament to the art of enhancing life’s quality within a limited space, an ancient capital nestled among mountains. For over a millennium, Kyoto’s residents have crafted a way of living that balances refined cultural pursuits with respect for the environment. They’ve demonstrated how to live beautifully and sustainably, with an appreciation for the subtle changes in nature and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship, cuisine, and art.

Yet Kyoto, too, is changing. In today’s fast-paced world, traditional ways are under threat, and the delicate ecosystem that supports artisans and craftspeople is at risk. The remarkable traditions that have sustained this city are fading, and with them, the wisdom they carry. We believe it is our generation’s duty to preserve and adapt these traditions for the modern world, not only to honour our past but to inspire a sustainable future globally.

We invite connoisseurs of art, culture, gastronomy, and sustainability to experience and engage with the authentic spirit of Kyoto. Join us in exploring and supporting its beautiful traditions—from exquisite craftsmanship to refined culinary arts. We seek partners who share our passion to preserve Kyoto’s legacy, who wish to see its traditional skills and aesthetics carried forward in a way that resonates with contemporary society and promotes global sustainability.

If you are inspired by the idea of embracing and revitalising Kyoto’s sustainable wisdom, or if you long to experience the true elegance of Japanese craftsmanship, artistry, and cuisine, we would be honoured to accompany you on this journey. Together, let’s create a future where these timeless arts can thrive and inspire generations to come.
